Your own words, any language, voice or text. No forms, no categories to decode.
Say what happened. Send a complaint they have to take seriously.
Something went wrong — a fee that shouldn't be there, a claim that stalled, a service that never showed up, staff who wouldn't listen. Tell Trumis about it the way you'd tell a friend, in any language, voice or text, even with screenshots — and it writes the formal complaint, addresses it to the right place, and keeps count of the days until they answer.
Southbank Bank Ltd
Screenshots of chats and emails, read on your device — images never leave your phone.
A formal, evidence-backed complaint — written only when the facts actually support one.
You send it; Trumis counts the days and shows the next step — AFCA, the TIO, the ombudsman — if they stay quiet.
Complaining properly shouldn't take a law degree.
You know exactly what happened — but their complaints page wants it in their categories, their form, their words. So people write three angry paragraphs that get a template reply, or spend an hour on hold, or give up halfway. The people treated worst — anyone stressed, time-poor, or whose first language isn't English — are exactly the people forms serve last.
A complaint that gets fixed is specific: what happened, when, who was involved, what you want done, and the proof. That's work — and it's the work Trumis does for you, from nothing more than your own story.
What Trumis does
Listens first
No set questions. Talk the way you’d tell a friend — in English, 中文, العربية, Tiếng Việt, Ελληνικά and more. At most one gentle question at a time, only when it matters.
Reads your evidence
Screenshots of chats, emails and letters are scanned on your device — the images never leave your phone. The conversation is reconstructed, then shown to you to approve before it’s used.
Sticks to your words
Quotes are exact and attributed; names, dates and places come from you, never guessed. And if the facts don’t support a complaint, Trumis says so warmly — it will never invent a case for you.
Writes it properly
Who you are, what happened, the circumstances, the grounds, the outcome you want, a records-preservation request, and your evidence as a verbatim annex — addressed to the right receiver.
Tracks what’s next
You send it from your own email. Trumis stamps the date, counts down the response clock, and shows the escalation path — AFCA for banks, the TIO for telcos, the ombudsman for government — if the answer never comes.
Know who to complain to
Your bank
Held funds, wrong charges, a dismissive branch. Banks must answer within 30 days — and AFCA, the free financial ombudsman, sits behind them.
Your insurer or health fund
Denied claims, endless assessment delays, phone promises that vanish in writing. Insurance complaints are won on paper trails.
Your telco or energy provider
Wrong bills, no service, hours on hold — with free ombudsmen the providers genuinely answer to.
A government service
Agencies publish complaint-handling policies — which means they’ve already promised how they’ll treat you. Hold them to it.
Our research, published
The complaint that cannot land
Who answers for frontline conduct in Australia, 2010–2026 — and why an individual complaint stopped landing, even though almost nothing in the record says organisations chose to take the employee's side.
What the law was for
Worker-protection legislation judged against what its own authors said it would achieve. The intent is documented and defensible; the outcome was never given a number to be measured against.
Built so nobody gets burned
A complaint is a set of claims. Trumis is engineered so the claims are true, verified, and traceable — protecting you and holding up when the organisation reads it.
The language model never decides merit. A deterministic rules engine — built on a maintained legal knowledge base — decides when grounds exist. The model makes the conversation human; it cannot invent a case.
You stay the author. You approve the reconstructed evidence before it’s used, and you read the draft before anything is sent — the complaint only ever says what you shared.
Verbatim or nothing. Quotes are exact, attributed, and checkable against the source. Names, dates and places are typed by you, never guessed by a machine.
No content is stored. The service is stateless; your conversation and complaints live on your device, and screenshots are read on-device — only text is processed. The one server-side trace is anonymous category statistics — never anyone’s words.
No accounts, no tracking, no dark patterns. A person in a bad moment gets help, not a funnel.
Questions people ask
How do I write a formal complaint?
A complaint that gets acted on states who you are, what happened (with dates, places and names), which specific circumstances you’re complaining about, what outcome you want, and the evidence. Trumis drafts all of that from a conversation — you just tell it what happened, and you check the draft before you send it.
Can Trumis help me complain to my bank?
Yes. Trumis recognises major Australian banks, addresses the complaint to their complaints team, and includes the escalation path to AFCA — the free financial ombudsman — with a response clock so you know when to escalate.
Can I use screenshots of my chats and emails as evidence?
Yes — attach screenshots of your correspondence and Trumis reconstructs the conversation (who said what, and when), shows it to you to approve, and attaches it to your complaint as a verbatim, attributed record. The images are read on your device and never uploaded.
Is Trumis free?
Yes — free for making your own complaints, with no account and no payment details. Organisations license Trumis separately, at business.trumis.com.au — that never affects personal use.
Does Trumis store my conversation?
No. Conversations and complaints are saved only on your device; the server processes each message transiently and keeps no copy. The only thing retained is anonymous complaint-category statistics — never your words.
Is Trumis legal advice?
No. Trumis is an automated legal information service, not a lawyer. A generated complaint is a draft based only on what you shared and confirmed — review it before sending, and seek advice from a community legal centre for complex matters.
Trumis is an independent Australian product. The name joins trust and promise, and Trumis holds both sides to it — you can trust what it writes, and it remembers what they promised.
The legal knowledge behind it — the dispute frameworks, argument validators and complaint templates that give Trumis its backbone — is authored with FairClaim, the Australian consumer-rights service. Related, and proudly so.
